Chris Lake is a portrait and lifestyle photographer who captures honest, emotionally resonant moments for advertising and editorial clients nationwide.

I discovered early on that I have a knack for capturing people in a natural and authentic way. My relaxed approach enables me to create honest, intimate portraits and lifestyle work that captures the essence of subjects at their most expressive. Over my twenty year career, I’ve been fortunate to work with a wide variety of national clients, agencies, and publications. I’m equally comfortable heading a large photo production or integrating into film and motion shoots to gather “stills.” Either way, I am always looking for authentic moments and expressions from my subjects and believe in the power of photography to illuminate the human experience. I currently live with my family in Sarasota Florida, but travel widely for assignments. I also work as a local in Chicago, where I began my career and maintain an active network of crew, producers, and friends.
